Meeting with the President of Uzbekistan

On October 19, 2026, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, His Excellency Shavkat Mirziyoyev, received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, who is visiting Samarkand to participate in the Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Central Asian countries and the United States of America within the framework of the C5+1 format.

At the outset of the meeting, Sirojiddin Muhriddin conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, to the President of Uzbekistan.

The meeting focused on key issues related to the further development of Tajik-Uzbek relations, as well as prospects for strengthening the strategic partnership and allied relations between the two countries.

Both sides underscored the importance of consistently expanding bilateral cooperation in trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian, and other areas of mutual interest.
