On September 25, 2026, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Gabonese Republic, Marie-Édith Tassila-Ye-Dombeneni.

During the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation between Tajikistan and Gabon in areas of mutual interest. They also expressed their readiness to further strengthen bilateral and multilateral relations.

At the end of the meeting, the ministers signed an Agreement on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Gabonese Republic.
