On March 27, 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan met with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice-President of the European Commission Kaja Kallas on the margins of the 20th meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Central Asian states and the European Union in Ashgabat.

During the meeting, the interlocutors commended the current positive dynamics of the multifaceted partnership between Dushanbe and Brussels and considered a wide range of issues of mutual interest, including the production of green energy and development of sustainable transport corridors, advancement of digital connectivity, improvement of the agricultural sector and the education system, as well as matters of security and provision of assistance aimed at strengthening borders. Countering current threats and challenges, as well as prospects for joint implementation of concrete hydropower projects comprised an important part of the talks.
